“Think Fast (Psychologie)”

“It’s not just a washing machine — it’s an experience,” the young scrawny, with a few inches of bed-head, with a crooked tie, stood wide-eyed, sipping his coffee while looking over it, gazing at his class.

“You guys are newbies, it’ll come. Over these next three days, you will learn all you need, so that you can achieve fifteen, twenty-thousand a month, like Ian did here, just last quarter. “Don’t be shy, Ian — stand up and let ‘em see ya.” Gavin spoke like a valley boy that still chewed gum; at the end of sentences; he likes to chew his gum quickly, as if his teeth were chattering. Gavin made an ugly face, and proceeded to try and inhale every square inch of the room, futilely attempting to stop a runny nose — cocaine.

And his wife is pregnant, you know? She works from home; a contracts and acquisitions manager — they party, maybe a couple of times a week — except Gavin…

Had anxiety, reading a text on his company work phone; it was Stephanie. And Stephanie had been late and Gavin knew it. So it was roses and mahogany in her bath; the water, warm and still; a fluffy and light layer of foamy bubbles. Champagne on ice, two glasses, as he would join her at the base of the deep whirlpool; the jets made Stephanie nervous, because of her newfound condition, and Gavin had assured her she was safe.
