“Stop Being Greedy (Nobody Eats At Brunch)”
“You give truth to everyone — everyone, but me.” Thalia stared through Greedy; a somber tone; too somber.”
“She didn’t even mean any harm, Thalia. She was just asking questions, being curious.”
“So, you take the time out to converse with bitches during a job?”
“If that’s what it takes to play it smooth…that was always the way; did that change?” Greedy threw his head back, with a two-ounce shot glass; something amber in shade; lightly tapping granite with the glass; pausing before taking the bottle for another pour.
“You’re a liar.”
“Oh, I’m the liar? What about you and Wood?” Thalia smiled.
“What about us?”
“Us? You’re funny,” Greedy didn’t laugh.
“You knew this would happen. You still pursued me.” Thalia slowly and intently began her show; Greedy poured another.
“We might be able to use her, cariña.”
“You might be able to use her. And since you have taken a liking to her, I guess we’re going to find out how she can best serve me.”
“Well, now that you seem to have come around;” a soft knock at the door.
“You don’t waste time, do you?”
“Greedy.”
“Don’t I know it,” Thalia smiled, opening both doors to the suite. A woman that could pass for Thalia’s sister, stood at the threshold. The women smiled at one another, and Greedy grabbed both, pulling them close.
“Let’s relax and have a good time, and talk about what’s next, shall we?” Greedy closed the door, turning back around to see nothing but black.
