“Pay As You Go”

A shopping mall. A man walks into a local chain proprietor, looking to buy his first cellular phone. A high-speed customer service representative approaches the gentleman, eager to help.

. “Hello, sir. How may I help you today?”

. “I’m looking to find a replacement for my mo-bile phone. Do you have any ideas on cheap, reliable phones?”

. “Actually, we do, sir. Our best-seller is the Cokomo Pay-As-You-Go Phone. One cheap price and you only pay when you use it.”

. “Well, where do I have to go to use my phone?”

. The representative looked at the customer puzzled. “Pardon, sir?”

. “Pay as you go — where do I go to use my phone?”

. “To your home, sir. Or anywhere for that matter.”

. “But how much does it cost to use my phone when I go? Is the price different if I go home then it is when I go to the office? How about when I visit family? Do I pay more when I go there, because it’s far away, you know?”

. “No, sir…I think you’re mistaken….”

. “Where do I go to use it?”

. “Anywhere, sir.”

.

. “But how is the price the same?”

.
