“New Changes in Profiling Sparking Heated Controversy” (a throwback)

THE hot-button issue of this spring, heading into an already forecast hot summer, is immigration. The Left side is (allegedly) too soft; and the Right is well...right no matter what (allegedly). Latinos and Hispanics have been at the center of this heated debate as the only opponent of conservative alienation rhetoric. However, there is a new...and definitely unexpected group that is perhaps about to be in for a rude awakening.

Last week in Boston, an African-American police officer stopped two Caucasian (spell check dictates I capitalize "Caucasian") males after hearing a report of an attempted home invasion in progress. When Sgt. Melvin arrived to the address, in the suburb of Milton, he confronted the two suspects.

Officer Melvin drew his weapon on the men, forcing them to the ground, then handcuffing them. The two juveniles, whose names are being withheld due to their ages, say the officer was joined by another African-American officer, and they were "violently tossed into the squad cah". The young men said that the officers laughed at their accents, and the fact that they were "dressed like half the other white men in Boston, who dress like John Cena".

The young men were then struck in the abdomen and face several times with, what African-American men refer to jokingly as…
