(“Master Recordings”)

And every day of the week…

It’s like a dream, I think

We go from intertwined by

Legs and bound by tongues

Love language fluency and

Synchronous motions,

Harmonizing hums,

Open

Until we speak

Pretty-eyed damsel

Might have plans that

Your subtle and sudden flirts may

Make me cancel

I pick up and answer

Instead of canceling

You cry in my ear and I

Think about the last time you did

And the thighs I was between

Chocolate-coated all over your

Caramel, dreams

And you want more

Every day of the week

Weeks included when we don’t speak

And you feel distance

Knowing my soft spot in the battleship

I sink when you hit it

Rushing into your emotional war,

Prepared to secure what leaves you

I capture every breath you exhale,

As you touch territory signaling

Where next to explore

And every day of the week…

We miss each other,

Turns into weeks

Then a text turns into a call

Turning into kisses on cheeks

And…

Every day of the week

It’s like a dream, a repeated

Scene
