"Please, you can call me Janet. You make me sound like a hematologist."
"Sorry, still getting used to this whole thing, ya know?"
"Well, talking about your issues probably....It's not comfortable, usually. I've dealt with over a thousand clients over my years, and only the truly crazy ones open up right away. Then, again, crazy people can stay quiet for an uncomfortable amount of time. So...."
"So, yeah...Tiffany...she's why I'm here."
"Why isn't she?"
"We're....we're...," I couldn't get the words out. They stuck in my throat. Kind of like how you're six days in a desert parched, and you go to swallow, and get scared to death because you can't at first. 125

I took a breath. She said it, and my air came back somewhat. "She did."
"How did that make you feel? And, how do you feel, now that she's gone?"
"Like my mind is a V12 coupe equipped with autopilot." Janet looked at me, half smirk, half sympathy.
