If it was someone that you know and have real rapport with; you know who they are and how they are—so why are you so offended? Unless the person is unsavory, in which you kept this person around and just hoped he wouldn't be a creep?

Second, educate that person on why you feel the way you do about him calling you that. We men really can't say anything these days without it coming off as rude, uncouth, or insulting; so I'm wondering how relationships between the sexes will ever bare fruit in the future. Overall, I respect the piece. And hope that you and your friend can find common ground and clarity.
