Chapter 3 “Why You So Mad?”
I have a good pal of mine, whom, until recently, seemed a bit pessimistic about certain aspects of life. These certain aspects are big things to me; such as the inherent good in people. This Microwave Age, as it’s been dubbed (I don’t know which of us used this first, between he and I), had really begun to beat my pal down. A good human being, who believes in The Greater Good, slowly losing grasp of where the good was anymore. What makes him even that much more awesome of a person is that I can tell you that he cries over Pixar movies — and it won’t bother him for you to know.
In these conversations, mulling over existentialism and purpose, we often circled back to the stuff that us budding old heads always do. You know — the newer generation and what was making them tick; dysfunctional upbringings and the need to be seen by today’s member of society. Every time, we often laugh at people using words like ‘hater’, or ‘swag’ — seeing as how these words were birthed in a culture that breeds and forces competition. The seeming apathy toward anything not involving money — making money, counting money, or talking about money is his biggest stickler, outside of brats who cuss their parents out in public. Nugget: Let’s be honest — that last bit is behavior that can be directly attributed to white children.
